Christmas in July

Hey ya'll! I'm still here.  I fell into a blog funk there for longer than I had hoped to try to get a break and put a focus on my new adventure over at The Red Carpet Ladies blog.  If you haven't been over to see the latest reviews, I encourage you to check it out.  I'll give you an insider hint-- be sure to like & follow the companies we have been reviewing because coming on Monday is a give away that I'm sure will wow!  Spread the word, would ya?

Now, what's with Christmas in July?  I know that all of the local stores are gearing up for the holidays faster than I can even prepare for the current season and some how it has rubbed off on me.  I keep thinking about what my theme will be this year and how I should get started now to get gifts purchased.  I know I"m not the only one out there.

Here are a few of my favorite finds for my 2012 Christmas Theme.
I am feeling vintage and I am not sure that newspaper even falls in that category but it makes me think of older times when life was a tad easier and technology was not even a forethought.  News was reported through the radio and asking for a BB gun for Christmas or an easy bake oven sounded like the best gifts ever!  Hopefully that helps to set the stage for why I am thinking of decorating with newspaper this year.

Easy and simple table decor

A centerpiece for a table

Front door beauty!
This might take a little more work to wrap all gifts like this but still cute!

I'd really love to make a string of garland with newspaper fabric too! Stay tuned, If I can motivate myself enough, I might have an end result to show you!

So the theme is set and now I'm on the hunt for other ideas.  If you have any, share! I'd love some tips or suggestions!  Yes, its a bit early but the early bird catches the worm, right!?

If you are looking for more Christmas in July inspirations, you'll have to check out one of my favorite bloggers and her Christmas in July Series that starts next week! Ashley's giving info on it today!

I love those little gift tags at the end! Cute!

If it weren't for instagram, I'd feel very disconnected from you! I hope you're back from your blogging break!!

Very cute!! I have a couple of friends that made those paper flower wreaths- and they are easy but so so time consuming.

Have I mentioned how much I love all things Christmas decoration related? I love the newspaper idea! If we had a newspaper subscription I'd totally copy you. I need to come up with a theme for this year. I've been trying to brainstorm and pin DIY gifts for this year. I'm determined not to overspend but still make my friends and fam feel special.
