How would life be?

Do you ever wonder how life would be if things turned out differently?  Today I am linking up with my gal pals Impulsive Addict & Seriously Shawn for their Talk to Us Tuesday.

I was looking through old pictures and videos and found this video that my folks took of me in high school.  I thought, hey—why not share this with the world.  We all have embarrassing moments, right?  I was just thinking back to this time in high school when I thought that trying out for Mascot in front of my school peers which was a graduating class known at the time in 96’ of being the LARGEST GRADUATING CLASS IN TEXAS would be cool.

I was in drill team and wanted a change.  I enjoyed our games and loved all my cheerleader friends and they always seemed to have so much fun on the field vs the drill team who had to sit in the stands and beat our pom- poms to death when the band would start to play, Go FIGHT Win!

Before you watch this public display of embarrassment, I will explain what you are about to see.  My skit was spelling out the word WILDCAT and behind each letter was a sport that the Mascot was playing.  In some cases I had smaller play balls to throw up to the crowd (you know, to get them involved).  One of my sports was swimming.  I had 2 buckets behind the letter.  One bucket had water, the other had confetti.  You’ll see that nothing went right and at the end, the goal was to make the crowd believe that I was throwing water on them and well… you’ll see that I picked up an empty bucket.  Boo…. Needless to say, I did not make Mascot but I am pretty sure of the 6 or 7 of us that did try out- I was in the top 2 (this is what I’m choosing to believe).  Enjoy.  I wonder how my senior year would have been different or the rest of my life! ha!
note: the music is poor because we used cassette tapes back then people to record new tapes with!!  I felt cool though using Def Leopard’s “Lets get ROCKED”

What happened in your life earlier that you wonder if the outcome were different, would things be the same now?

I would just like to say that your video made my morning a whole lot better! : ) I always what would have happened if I would have stayed in dance. I always loved it but for some reason I just quit. Guess that's what happens when a teenage girl makes decisions, lol!

That was priceless!! The upside-down sign was too funny! Loved it!!

I've always thought it would be fun to be a mascot...get to dance, pump people up, act crazy, entertain...and no one has to know it's you! Awesome gig, don't blame you for trying out!

Lol! Love it! I bet it was the upside down sign that edged number one out over you. :)

Was it hot in there? I never even thought about doing that.

yeah that would have been about my luck. Our mascot is the Wildcat here as well. For years it was the same guy and I mean YEARS. He was mentally challenged and they gave him the job when HE was in High school and he just kept it. I don't think he quit till about 3 years ago.

The upside down sign was killing me! And I used to draw my exclamation points that exact same way in high school, where we were also the Wildcats!
