Johanson January:
Hard to believe that Erik was gone for 2 weeks for the Army and we tried to stay super busy to pass the time, such as going to the stadium where the Super Bowl was going to be played by my FAVORITE team, The Steelers.  Sadly they didn’t win, but still have SIX under their belt!

It appears my blogging was in the early stages of trying to meet new people, trying to do give aways with little success and trying to remain original.
Amazes me to see a picture of Ryan and Reese at that time too because they have changed so much!!  Mackie still looks the same, except she has packed on a few pounds.

January also marks the beginning of my craft adventures!!
Johanson February:
We welcomed Taddy into our home and am proud to say that he is still alive and kickin, but in a new tank…
I met this awesome blogger friend and became obessed with her coffee cozies!! (Great Gift idea.. hint hint), say hi to
We discussed getting another dog…
English bull mastiff
It also appears I was not giving up on doing blog give aways…. agh, when will I learn!
Behind the scenes  of my blogging, we found out we were pregnant with Rayne but kept it hush hush for about 13 weeks.

Johanson March:

I decided I’d get wild and crazy and come up with a Link Party and even paid to have a fancy blog button created;

Makes me sad because it fizzled out fast (maybe 6 weeks?) and I had high hopes that it would be a huge hit.
I am not sure what happened in my March archives because I cannot see any of the pictures to share, but it doesn’t appear that much was going on.  I think I was still trying to find my place in the blog world and reaching out to meet new friends.
Here’s hoping April, May and June are more productive and exciting!! Can’t wait to read your recaps!! Buzz me if you need any help or have questions about this party!! You have till Tuesday of next week to link up to get your 1st point, unless you are an overachiever and are already following ALL OF THE HOSTS, b/c in that case you will already have 2 points!!

looks like a great start to the year.

Even I can see how your kids have grown since then and I only "see" them on the computer a few times a week!

I remember how hard it was in the beginning. I think I went a whole year without a comment.

The kids really have changed!! I enjoyed reading this because it was back before I "knew" you!! So did you just start blogging this year, too???

I love that Super Bowl picture!!
It sounds like our blogs were in the same place at the beginning of the year. I didn't even have one post for January!
Cute pictures :)

Oh two weeks solo would be hard! And so crazy looking back even a year how much the kids change!
Your crafts are awesome- glad you started :)

Thanks so much for being one of the hosts

I almost fell over when I saw how much my oldest changed. She looked liked a little girl and now she looks like a ... (choke) woman! What the heck!? Not fair. It's shocking what a year can do to our kids. Now we do not change. We stay the same! ;)

Wow--your kids look so different, but so cute both ways. I really love the direction you've taken with your blog. I think it takes time to find a niche that fits.

I've been thinking about doing a weekly link-up, but my great idea isn't all that exciting. So I think I'll just go into with expectations of fizzle and be OK with that.

Do you remember who played your STEELERS? The Packers!!! It was a good year for the packer backers in the IA household and their perfect record so far this season is shaping out nicely!

I loved the pictures and I'm sad that Tribute Tuesday fizzled out. =(

I loved looking at all the pics. =)

You have been unbelievably successful as a blogger. I can't believe you've only been at it for a little over a year and you're at such a high reader count. You go girl!

Your little ones have really grown this past year. And kudos for keeping the fish alive. I am the fish killer. It's quite sad. I think I overclean the bowl. OCD + fish do not mix.

my brother in law is also in the army. he normally does the 2 week thing, but this year he did a full 30 days, which seems like nothing now b.c he is deploying to afghanistan for 9 months in a year. anyway, he is in the army AND a HUGE steelers fan. small world:)

Two weeks is hard. Staying busy is the key!

Blogging is so hard to get started at. Finding the right people and your own style.

I love looking at old pictures of the kids. Seeing how much they change in a course of a year is amazing!
