Sibling Love

Growing up as an only child, I always dreamed of what it would be like to have a brother or sister.  I always envied my friends who had them because they always had a playmate!  I spent countless weekends bored and relying on my own imagination or my parents for entertainment.

So you will understand why I am in aww of my own children and the bonds that they have already established.

Ryan is so gentle and caring with his baby sister Rayne which warms my heart.   He is pretty rowdy with Reese and while I’d give anything for him to settle down, I know she loves it with every giggle that comes out!

Reese loves her older brother and loves to be chased by him and surprisingly loves to be tackled! I think it might take her a little more time to learn about soft hands and what gentle means when it comes to Rayne.  You can tell how much she loves her baby sister and always wants to hold her.

I always wanted a big family and now I have it… there will never be another dull moment in my life!
Today I’m happy to be linking up with Emmy & K mama for Proud Mommy Moments.

Love it! Alex loves being tackled by her big brother too and heck she takes him out as much as he gets her now. Lucas was better with Ryder as a baby than Alex- their older age helps. Perfect PMM- thanks so much for playing along.

Your sweet family makes me smile. :)

One day, many years from now, J will be a big sister and I hope she's as sweet as Ryan is to his siblings.

Being short on built in playmates is my only regret having one child. Your's are very lucky kids!

So sweet! I have a younger brother and sister. We didn't always get along ... mostly because we were so different in age (brother is 5 yrs younger than me and my sister is 13yrs younger). We love each other more as adults lol.

If I wanted multiple children (just one please) then I would want them close in age so they could be friends and grow up being able to play with each other.

Those are just the sweetest photos. I was afraid my son Ryan would be very jealous of his little sister because of the 9 year age difference. But he is so loving with her and is always looking out for her. Sometimes over protective.

Those are moments that you will always treasure. It still melts my heart to see my kiddos all sweet together. There's something about a bond between siblings, :)

I love this! What a wonderful post and pictures! My 3-year-old has had a hard time learning to be gentle with his younger brother, but they are usually best buddies. And yes, never a dull moment with kids. :)

They are so sweet together!!! I love that Ryan will always get to be the protective older brother of his two little sisters! :o)

Cory was an only child, but I don't think he minded b/c he had a cousin the same age that lived next door. And Lexie LOVES being an only child. She says all the kids at school are jealous. :o)
