This week is My Turn!!!!!! I’ll keep ya’ll posted on who the questioner is each week!  Last week it was Impulsive Addict!

I just wanted to remind you of the rules to participate… they’re ‘oh, so easy!’

1. Please include our Ah..mazingly cute button in your post.
2. Please link your ‘WWTK’ post to the linky {if you need help, let me know}.
3. Please mention and link to all four of us.  We all want the chance to meet new peeps!

We Want to Know Wednesday Q&A is hosted by:

Impulsive Addict, Mamarazzi and Seriously Shawn

1}  Everyone seems to have a quirky family situation-- what is something unique about your family dynamic?
I try not to ever mention it but I haven’t spoken to my mother in 9 years… I adore how my family has shaped out.. I have a Step-Dad married to my Step-Mom, a Dad who is married to another Step-Mom and 3 step siblings from both marriages together.  Quirky? Yes and hard to keep up with b/c I call both Step Dad and real Dad, “Dad”.  Did you get all that? I’m not even sure when I type it out that it makes sense.

2} What is the most stressful aspect to blogging (aside from the network going down)?
I think there is a level of pressure to be funny and always have something interesting to say to try to acquire new followers and keep them.   I am so thankful for the followers I do have but feel like I’m always thinking ‘its not enough, I want more’..

3} We all end up on a blog at some point in our day, but name your top 3 favorite websites you flock to daily (non blog)!
etsy us magazine abc news abc news

4} What’s your sign? Believe in it or not, does any part ring true to you?
I am compatible with Gemini, I am witty, stubborn, sarcastic and thrive on independence and rebellion.  This is most true I think: Aquarius’ welcome change because boredom is their enemy.
(BTW, I share a birthday with
Oprah Winfrey & Tom Selleck, holla!)

5}  IceCream!! ICECREAM!! We all scream for icecream! Name your favorite flavor/brand! (Its hot here, can't help it).
Hands down, Marble Slab:  Double Dark Chocolate with 2 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in it, preferably in a chocolate dipped cone.

2 BONUS QUESTIONS if you dare..

A} Name the blog you credit for linking up with us today?
Mamarazzi for including me as her co-host!

B} Suggest a question you want to see in future WWTK’s!

Hey friends—if you become a new follower, please let me know b/c I’d love to follow you back!!!

One Last bit of Housekeeping before you link up:
Links must lead to WWTK posts that contain the WWTK button. Posts should lead to Family Friendly blogs. Blogs containing explicit language and sexually explicit content should contain an "adult content warning", or risk being removed from the link list.

I'm heading to Marble Slab Creamery today - it's my not so little scoop of heaven. Thank goodness they're so expensive or I'd be tempted to go every day!

I have mother issues too. And have found that if I treat her like an aunt or a cousin that lives outta state that I only see on holidays, I am a much better less stressed person.

Are you an Aquarius under the new or old signs?

Ice cream sounds so good! I like Marble Slab's Cheesecake ice cream! If we actually GO GET ice cream we go to a place called Andy's. It's frozen custard. YUMMO! I usually get a scoop of chocolate and maybe a bit of cookie dough!

My family quirk beats yours by a mile lol.. and now I want that ice cream and I can guarantee I can't get it anywhere around here

Is Marble Slab Creamery like ColdStone Creamery? Like where they make it for you? I always enjoy that. :)

And no, I didn't follow your family situation, haha. It's ok though, it sounds like it's fun and big.

That's true, one feels a pressure to perform even if it's not there.

I'm an Aquarius too and it's true, I mesh very well with Geminis...Lets face it, who else would put up with them. ;) :P

Wow! Ok...I follow you but I had to re-read it! I'm sad about your mom but I love that you have so many other "parents" in your life.

Oh how I miss getting my Us magazine in the mail. I just got to where I didn't have time to read it AND blogs so I picked blogs. They're free to read.

Tom Selleck was HOT back in the day. My mom always had a crush on him. I thought he still had it goin' on when he guest starred on Friends.

Well, you know what you want in your ice cream huh? I've had Marble Slab a few times. It was pretty good but I'm not a huge ice cream person.

Good questions Janette! =)

Sometimes for me the most stressful thing is coming up with a relevant, thoughtful comment. Sometimes there is just no connection to the post I'm reading and I have nothing to add.
We have Cold Stone Creameries out here, but the closest one is 45 minutes away. I don't get there often.

I am seriously craving some ice cream right now! haha!!!

You should email oprah on your bday and ask her to give you some of her fave things since yall share a bday HAHAHA

Ok, I'm confused. :-) That's okay. I'm glad that you are happy with your family dynamic and that it works!

Yeah your family dynamic totally confused me. Sounds crazy! Happy Wednesday.

Dude, that's a phenomenal call on your ice cream flavor. I want one of those right now!

That stinkin desire to have more followers is just hard to escape!

And that ice cream sounds yummy! After reading through this meme this morning I decided ice cream sounded like a good lunch (I know. I know.) I got Ben & Jerry's Phish Food. Didn't like it as much as I hoped and now I'll probably have a sugar crash around 3:30!

I just checked out that link you posted and I LOVE it! Thank you! Anything to get me spurred on (and give me an excuse to avoid packing/cleaning) right? :)

I'm not sure I totally followed that family explanation! LOL I know what it's like not to have spoken to a parent for that long.....it's been about 14 years that I haven't spoken with my dad.

Chocolate overload on that ice cream but it sounds awesome!!

Oh, and I'm gonna start following you. Not sure why I haven't yet since I've participated in this for a while now! :)

How did I not list Etsy? Crud! That is right up there with Pinterest for me! Usually I am pinning something from Etsy... it is a constant circle between the two--- lol

Brianne said...

I had to read the family quirkyness 2x to understand it. LOL. I have a Step Sister who is no longer a step sister but I still think of her as a sister. Oh family!

Bridget said...

We have a Coldstone Creamery that is kind of like a Marble Slab...it's YUM!

I totally agree with the pressure to be funny and entertaining, it can be stressful if you let it.

Have a great week!! ;)

I used to have mother issues, but they're better now that we live 800+ miles apart. Funny how space will do that. Your family sounds confusing, but if it works for you, that's all that matters.

I have an Aunt who's an Aquarius. Makes sense now.

I haven't been to Marble Slab in YEARS! Oh, that sounds good. Man. Too bad it's almost 10 pm. Or, rather, maybe it's a good thing it's almost 10 pm. LOL

Mamarazzi said...

that is so interesting your family dynamic. but it works and that is all that matters.

Suddenly, I really want ice cream--that sounds delish!

I haven't talked to my father in a year, and most of his side of the family. You've got your reasons for not talking with your mom and I bet they are good ones.

Wow, your family dynamic is complex too. I consider my stepdad to be my only dad, but I call him Pops just to keep it less confusing.

I'm a lot like my sign too. How awesome that you share a birthday with such cool people? Tom Selec will always be Richard from Friends. "It's James Bond!"
