Are you *new*?

Do you remember the day that you decided you would start blogging?  Planning out the name of your blog, the title that it would be listed as for all to see and not have a clue what to do next?  I have been there- we all have at some point.  Many of us have grown tremendously and gained many followers with comments galore which is AWESOME!

I just was thinking how many new people are joining the blog world each day and probably are feeling how we once felt when we first started out.

What do I do next?
How do I get new friends?
Where did they find that cute button, or design?
What should I write about to get readers?
How do I find other blogs like me?

I remember asking several big bloggers for help… some responded… some didn’t.. I was timid, I must admit and also prideful asking for help because I was wanting to appear to ‘know it all’ and once I let go of my apprehensions about it…. I have never felt better about blogging!!
I still have my days where I find myself asking other bloggers for advice and guidance….. and especially the famous question, “How did you do that!?”

I have 2 friends in REAL Life who have joined the blog world and neither of them have asked me to do this and I hope I’m not stepping on toes, but I’d like to introduce you to them.  Both are super sweet and I know they are going to be amazing bloggers.  I wish when I started I had someone to take me under their wing and introduce me to people… and I realize this is not going to be the cure all for them as new bloggers to meet new people…. but I think I have made some great friends here and as in real life, I would want to introduce my current friends to some new friends so our group can grow.  We could all use a lil’ bloggin’ help right?  Even I need help!!  Always taking suggestions!!

Please say hi to my friend
mom spit

Also hello to my friend
lili pad

If you are new to blogging, I’d love to chat with you.  I am still learning and leaning on my blog friends.. I just know how tough it is to get started and want ya to know I’m here if I can help guide you in anyway or send you to another blogger I think could help ya!  Sometimes reading the HTML tips online are a tad confusing--- well, for me they are…. so, its good to email a friend and just ask—HELP!!  Just because a blogger has several followers and their blog looks top notch, don’t think they aren’t still asking others for help! Its a growing place and I’m just thankful to all those who have helped me thus far!

Good luck!! Happy blogging!

I've been blogging for almost four years. I still feel like a newbie sometimes!

My most important tip...write for you. Write like you are talking to your best friend and the real you will just come through!

I can't figure out how to comment on the LIlie Pad blog. Am I missing something? She might need to adjust her settings.

Silly me. I went to comment on your friends blogs and completely forgot to tell you how sweet it was of you to promote your friends like that! I was also having issues commenting on Alana's blog. Maybe she has comments turned off by accident?

I will be sure to stop by!

You rock my world, lady! (Any my blog! It "blew up" in the good way as in comments and followers!) Is there a section on here that I can become a "Fan for Life"?

That was so nice of you to do for your friends!

Blogging can be hard & scary while being fun & amazing. I'm still very new & unsure, but it's nice to know there are people out there who want to help!!

What a nice thing to do for your friends! And if they're YOUR friends, they need to be MY friends too so I'm off to say hello...

Thanks for sharing this! I feel better about asking for help, I only started blogging a year ago and still feel like such a newbie! It's hard to make online friends! like your first year in school, only without your mom organising playdates! I'm from Ireland where blogging isn't big at all! I hope to blog for a long time to come cos I love it, I hope to come back and read your blog!
