Tuesday Tribute- BREAK

It was bound to happen, right?  I’d run flat out of creativity and not know who or what to pay Tribute to on Tuesdays.  Today is the day my friends… but no worries, I have at least 2 more up my sleeve to break out soon.

Lets be random, shall we?

* I went to Bath and Body Works which is a place I never frequent.  I have mentioned before that I am not a smelly lotion or bubble bath kind of gal, but I have had a gift card in my wallet for over 2 years and I saw a store today and busted in there to spend these $15 bucks!  I thought I’d get some lotion for Reese and add some spice to her ‘Johnson & Johnson’ world.  I saw some shimmer body spritz and thought, ‘what the heck’.. sprayed my arm.  I cannot stop smelling myself now.  This is a one time only experience as I am still stickin’ with my Dove Soap, Curel Lotion and Bob Mackie Perfume.  Just glad to get that gift card out of my wallet.  My left arm smells great though!

* I braved the lines and time and got in my car with my step brother Friday night and sat in the drive-thru line for a little over an hour to try the In/Out Burger Experience.  I talked my entire family into letting me get them a burger to try so it was a family wide experience.  It was fun although ridiculous to be waiting that long for a $2.25 burger.  Everyone busted through the wrapping, took a bite and gave their opinions.
We all agreed it was ‘good’.  There was talk of ‘5 Guys Burgers’, “Jake’s burgers" and “Mooyah” … none of which I have had before.  I was just surprised I ate a burger!  I thought… ‘this is good… but not AH.MAZing’… yet it is 4 days later and I have to admit I have thought about sitting in that line again every single day since then.  Sad… I know.  Guess it was better than I thought or wanted to admit.

Side note:  I got a chocolate shake when I was there—figured if I didn’t like the burger, then I have the shake and fries to at least fill me up for a while.  My moment was ruined as I was describing to my Dad about how yummy this shake was and wanted his opinion.  It was sortof a silky smooth but a thick chocolate shake.  Yum Right?  Yes, until my Dad tells me that they use Algae to make shakes smooth and silky.  Apparently they used to use Gelatin but it is much less expensive to scrape the bottom of the river to get ice cream to taste so good. <BLECH>.. thanks Pap!

* I was thinking about my road rage pet peeves and mentioned last week about bumper stickers with old political nominee’s on it and how it drove me crazy and I started to think about how our personal opinions on politics and religion can really part people.   I know the political stickers are about to heat up.  There is a road on the way to my old house that still had a sign up for ‘Ron Paul for President’ and I wanted to sneak out in the night and tear it down, but it was made a of wood.  Good thing they left it up because he’s at it again!! So, I guess it saves to keep stickers on the car in the event they run again… And I apologize in advance if I offend anyone with my political rants or comments.. but this is just ridiculous:

I guess that’s all for today.

Well, I have to say that the burger looks amazing! I've also had Five Guys and Jake's burgers--but I don't know if it's the same "Jake's". I enjoyed reading your post.

When they finally put an in and out in my city, I tried it, but honestly, I have to say, I didn't enjoy it. maybe if there hadn't of been so much hype, it would have been ok.

I had the chocolate shake too, and it was way nummy. Even if they did use algae. :)

Yeah 5 Guys burgers and fries are really great! Expensive though, but worth it.
I haven't tried in/out burger, now I want to! :) But not the shakes... :)

My FAVORITE burger place is Twisted Root Burger Co. We go to the one in Richardson. I love it.

I am mad at you now tho. I will NEVER be able to enjoy one of there "adult" milkshakes again now. Thanks Janette and Janette's Pap! (lOl)

I saw on TV once that they use termite carcases (I think) to create red dye in foods. Specifically, red velvet cake and some yogurts.

Needless to say I won't touch red velvet cake now and I'm very selective about my yogurt, haha

That burger looks AMAZING! I haven't had a good burger in forever!!
